Professionalism and ethical conduct are essential qualities for any successful accountant.

To ensure students understand the importance of these principles in the workplace, all Foundations in Accountancy students are required to complete the Foundations in Professionalism module (FiP).

Completing FiP is also a requirement for ACCA students who wish to gain the ACCA Diploma in Accounting and Business (RQF Level 4).

Flexible and accessible learning
This online and interactive module is designed to be completed either before or after the exam component of your qualification. It only needs to be completed once and has no time restrictions, allowing you to progress at your own pace.

You can access the module directly through your MyACCA  account.

Module structure
The Foundations in Professionalism module covers the following key areas:

  1. Introduction

  2. Professionalism

  3. Law and Regulation

  4. Professional Ethics

  5. Personal Effectiveness at Work

  6. Personal Values

  7. Case Study

  8. Objective Test

Assessment and completion
Throughout the module, you’ll encounter self-assessment activities to help reinforce your learning. At the end, you'll complete a final objective test. Upon successful completion, your ACCA student record will be updated to reflect your achievement.

Some things to note are:

  • There is no limit to the number of times you can retake the test.

  • If unsuccessful, you’ll receive feedback to help you improve before attempting it again.

  • Please allow up to 24 hours for your progress to be reflected in your MyACCA account.
