We're sorry to hear that you may be thinking of leaving ACCA, but we understand that there may be reasons that you no longer wish to continue, or you may want to take a temporary break from your studies.

Before you go, we'd like to remind you that ACCA opens doors to respected, hugely rewarding career opportunities with the world's best employers across most sectors and industries. ACCA members can work in audit too which opens doors to the very best accountancy and finance firms. ​

If you are choosing to leave ACCA, we hope this is only temporary and that you will come back to complete your qualification when you are ready.

Need additional training material to support your exam progression
Our website has study resources available for all ACCA exams to support you through your exam preparation.

How do I resign
If you are certain that you want to cancel your ACCA student registration and resign from ACCA, please complete the online resignation application.

If you have outstanding fees on your account, you can pay for these before your resignation is processed. 

Upcoming exam bookings
If you already have an ACCA exam booked, this will be cancelled when your resignation is processed. Please be aware that if the standard exam entry closing date has already passed, the exam entry fee will not be refunded. 

Returning to ACCA
Please note, there is always the option to re-join ACCA in future to continue on your journey on becoming a qualified finance professional.
