The Audit Qualification Development approval is only available to organisations that undertake statutory audit work for clients based in the following territories: United Kingdom (including Jersey, Guernsey and Dependencies, and Isle of Man), Ireland, Germany, Cyprus, Netherlands, Luxembourg, South Africa, Switzerland and Zimbabwe.
The Practising Certificate Development (PCD) approval relates to training ACCA trainees and members towards an ACCA practising certificate. Unless ACCA members work (or intend to work) in the United Kingdom (including Jersey, Guernsey and Dependencies, and Isle of Man), Ireland, Zimbabwe, Australia, or there is a local requirement for them to hold an ACCA practising certificate then there is no requirement for your firm to hold a PCD approval with ACCA. ACCA members engaging in public practice outside the afore-mentioned territories simply need to notify ACCA and apply to be placed on ACCA's register of practitioners which applies to your firm’s jurisdiction.
